Domaine des Creisses

Valros, Languedoc

This family property, created in the 19th century, has been vinifying every year for more than 110 years in its Languedoc cellar. Three generations follow one another in the twentieth century. In 1998, Philippe Chesnelong took over the family vineyard, with the ambition of expressing the full potential of the terroir and revealing a great Mediterranean wine. Louis Mitjavile, his cousin, brings his talent for winemaking and aging.

LES CREISSES: This is the name of two lands: Originally a plateau of 11 hectares of stony clay and limestone with deep soil that gives dense, silky and fresh wines. And a development of 20 hectares on slopes of gravel villafranchiennes, interspersed with woods, which express smoothness and delicacy.

LES BRUNES: These brown soils of volcanic origin gave their name to this wine. These hillsides planted with Mourvèdre and Cabernet Sauvignon reveal all its strength.
