Domaine Bruno Colin

Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy, France

Domaine Bruno Colin :
A wine that breathes…
A wine that is listened to…
It is the terroir, vintage and vineyard practices that define the quality of a wine.

Following technical and commercial training at the Beaune Viticultural School, Bruno started to work with his parents and brother in 1993 at the family domaine Michel Colin-Deléger.
In 2003, the mutual decision was taken to divide the family domaine into three separate entities:
-Domaine Michel Colin-Deléger
-Domaine Philippe Colin
-Domaine Bruno Colin

Bruno created his first vintage in 2004 soon became one of the best producers of Chassagne-Montrachet.
The domaine is extremely proud to cultivate the family’s vines in the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious appellations. It currently covers 8.75 hectares of surface under vine in the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Dezize-les-Maranges.

Bruno prioritises mechanical tillage including ploughing and earthing up. Sustainable methods are in place to protect the vineyards and control yields as part of the domaine’s quality measures. The 4 seasons dictate procedures in the vineyard including pruning, disbudding, lifting and stripping depending on the year… as well as climatic conditions which are key to defining the character of the wines.
Yet Bruno never forgets the importance of working with what nature gives us. As they say, ”The years go by but each one is different”, and this is what makes Burgundy’s single variety wines so unique.
