Champagne Aurore Casanova

Puisieulx, Champagne

As Anselme Selosse says: “Aurore’s Champagnes reflect the beauty of the artist dancing in respect of her terroir.”

Domaine Aurore Casanova was born from the meeting of Aurore Casanova, classical dancer and Jean-Baptiste Robinet prosthetist for amputees. Both rich in their atypical career, decide to take over plots of family vines in the Montagne de Reims for Aurore and in the Côte des Blancs and the Marne valley for Jean-Baptiste in order to create their estate in Champagne together.

A philosophy respectful of the environment and of the human being as well as a concern for the customer experience are the values of these two winegrowers. They work together in the vines by applying biodynamic principles and are always looking for biological control. Likewise in the cellars, it is on the strength of their experiences and their exchanges that they work with Champagne wines. The tasting experience offered to you begins with the white blend called Aurore. The name of Aurore was given to this cuvée because these are the sensations it seeks and we find in this Champagne between sweetness, balance, fruity and freshness. Then Rose, a blend in which the Pinot Noir Solera brings complexity and delicacy to the Chardonnay.

Finally, they offer you the Collection: it is the highlighting of the personalities of the Champagne region thanks to natural fermentations, plots. This work began in 2016 at Puisieulx Grand cru where each year the Chardonnays and Pinots Noirs are harvested and vinified separately in order to capture the quintessence of the terroir. At Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, these personalities take on the appearance of Coteaux Champenois and Champagne.
